Dr. Meng has more than 15 years experiences in developing cancer nanomedicine. Dr. Meng received his Ph.D. degree in Chinese Academy of Sciences. His graduate study led to a carbonaceous nano platform, which was recently acquired for further clinical development in cancer treatment/diagnosis. Since he moved to USA in 2008, Dr. Meng’s major achievements in nano cancer therapy have been to develop multifunctional nano delivery systems. Dr. Meng is the scientific co-inventor of Silicasome technology.
Dr. Meng is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of NanoMedicine, and a faculty member in the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCLA. He is the PI/co-PI for multiple extramural and internal grants, with multiple US patents and university disclosures. Dr. Meng frequently serves as reviewer for grant applications and scientific journals in the field of cancer nanotechnology, nano biology and nano safety. He has published more 70 peer-reviewed papers, with ~8,500 citations and h-index of 43.
